On July 7th, we will celebrate 50 years since the Priestly Ordination of my dear and late brother. Father Armando<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If he were still among us we would undoubtedly celebrate happily with his brother priests. Congregation of the Most Precious Blood<\/a>, with his living brothers, with his friends... But God took him to be with Him and we, aware that with Him, our Father Armando watches over us, cannot let such a wonderful date pass by unnoticed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His body is not with us but his spirit remains!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we must remember and celebrate the enormous grace the Lord granted us by having a priest as a brother! In the year of his departure to the Father, all of us (his family) congratulated him profusely on his birthday... but because concerns for his health overshadowed everything else... we all forgot to congratulate him on the anniversary of his priestly ordination. And that was unforgivable. He was very, very sad! And I still blame myself for that oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Father Armando, there was nothing more important than being a Priest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He loved life. He loved his mission. He loved people and gave his heart and soul to it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For all this, and despite the fact that he has already left, and many have even forgotten him, I, his younger sister, want to remind you that he is and will always be, for us, a beloved presence in our hearts; and that, believing in the communication of the saints (as we pray in the Creed) he is and will always be our intermediary with the Father!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have the habit of cutting out significant articles from the Jornal de Proen\u00e7a, and among them, of course, those written by our Father Armando, and last week, while rearranging them, I found one, published in the newspaper on 10\/09\/2008, entitled: \u201cGod is good to me<\/strong>…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, he says, he was diagnosed with a recurrence of liver cancer and the need for new surgery... In the last part of the article he wrote:..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This time the operation was much more difficult and there were post-operative complications. Despite this, I'm well again, calm, and with a strong will to live. <\/strong><\/p>

It was yet another delightful manifestation of God's presence in my life, into whose hands I have entrusted myself and continue to entrust myself. <\/strong><\/p>

He continues to be good to me and my journey through this new experience was once again marked by serenity and profound peace. <\/strong><\/p>

May He be praised, and may His blessings be showered upon the many friends who have been and are with me during these difficult times. Thank you all.<\/strong> “…<\/p>(sic)<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
