Magnifica Humanitas, on safeguarding the human person in the age of artificial intelligence, is a curious title for Pope Leo XIV's first encyclical. In this time of great challenges, the Church is vigilant because we can make this world a better place or ruin it. The opening words are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. The magnificent humanity created by God finds itself today facing a decisive choice: to erect a new Tower of Babel or to build the city where God and humanity dwell together. Each generation inherits the task of shaping its time: from To nurture history as a place where the dignity of each person is safeguarded, justice is promoted, and fraternity is made possible.<\/em> Over every era, however, hangs the risk of building an inhumane and more unjust world. Where humanity is in danger of losing its identity, we Christians raise our eyes to God made flesh, knowing that "the mystery of man is only truly clarified in the mystery of the Incarnate Word.".\u00a0[1]<\/a>\u00a0In Jesus Christ, this magnificent humanity becomes the Way, the Truth, and the Life, opening for each of us the path to grow to fullness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded on Christ, the living stone, we experience the powerful and mysterious action of the Holy Spirit and believe that every genuine human effort to cooperate with Him for good will be blessed by the heavenly Father, in whom we place our hope. Therefore, with determination, We can contribute to all initiatives that build a more just world and invite others to collaborate with us in promoting the integral development of every human being.<\/strong>. We wish to enter into dialogue with all the men and women of our time, with whom we share the events, questions, and aspirations of humanity. With them, we want to identify new paths for the common good and the promotion of a dignified life for all. This attitude of dialogue is an integral part of the Church's vocation, for she, constituted "in Christ, is as it were the sacrament [\u2026] of intimate union with God and of the unity of all humankind," recognizes history as the place where the Gospel challenges and accompanies human experience.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
