It is the soul of the Christian community. The Missionaries of the Precious Blood bring this "fountain of living water" to all people, thirsting for life in its fullness.

Saint Gaspar del Bufalo always begins his letters with the expression "Long live the divine blood." He teaches us to understand the value of the Blood of Christ, the price of redemption and the guarantee of salvation.

This is what has happened throughout the centuries in the Church: the memory of Christ. It is not a nostalgic recollection of the past, but an affirmation of the present-day relevance of Christ's total love for humanity.

(Source: IA)

We are celebrating the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Some countries maintain the celebration on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday, while others have moved it to Sunday. Everywhere, this day is celebrated with processions, often with elaborately decorated streets and splendid monstrances, precisely to highlight the beauty of the sacrament of the Eucharist, where Jesus gives himself to us as food in his body and blood.

But the Eucharist is also the sacrament that is "unloved," without any implication for life. From within, we are called to celebrate the Eucharist with the dignity that the Church upholds, avoiding transforming the celebration into a spectacle or impoverishing the signs to such an extent that the celebration is the image of the priest.

Here is a great challenge for the Family of the Most Precious Blood: to let the voice of Christ echo in the ear of the heart, "Do this in memory of me," and to ensure that this challenge continues to give new life in the places where we find ourselves; to be living Eucharists every day!

“"Long live the divine blood!"”

A eucaristia é a celebração que marca o ritmo da vida do cristão. É a alma da comunidade cristã.
