16th Missionary Day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The missionary disciples of Christ always carry in their hearts a concern for all people, regardless of their social or even moral condition. The parable of the banquet tells us that, following the king's recommendation, the servants gathered "all those they found, both bad and good." Moreover, the king's special guests are precisely "the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame," that is, the least and the marginalized of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone, every man and every woman, is the recipient of God's invitation to participate in his grace that transforms and saves. It is enough simply to say "yes" to this free divine gift, welcoming it and allowing oneself to be transformed by it, as if putting on a "wedding garment" (cf. Mt <\/em>22, 12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mission for all requires the commitment of all. Therefore, it is necessary to continue the journey towards a Church that is entirely synodal and missionary, at the service of the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, the collections for World Mission Day in all Particular Churches are entirely destined for the Universal Solidarity Fund, which the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith then distributes, in the name of the Pope, to meet the needs of all the Church's missions. Let us ask the Lord to guide us and help us to be a more synodal and more missionary Church. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
