Shabbat is about to begin.
Shabbat is about to begin.
On this day of silence, unique in the year, I pause for a few moments to be with you, Lord Jesus. You lie on the cold rock of the closed tomb. I look back on the last few weeks, I take stock of how I lived this Lent, and I give thanks for what brought me closer to You and to the Father. I acknowledge my weaknesses and ask for forgiveness.

May the silence of today, Holy Saturday, lead me to contemplate Your total surrender, eagerly awaiting Your Resurrection. Darkness will give way to light, and I want to prepare myself to receive it in all its splendor.
I want to rise again with You from all my failures and defeats. With You, Lord, I will be able to sing victory.
I offer You all that is weakness, doubt, and refusal to surrender to the Father's will within me.
It transforms everything into a Way of the Cross of joy.
Resurrect within me everything that is a sign of death.
Come and enlighten humanity and give it a new heart and spirit.
