1st Meeting of the Family of the Most Precious Blood

The first meeting of the CPPS Family, entitled "Towards an experience of the spirituality of the Most Precious Blood," took place on April 18th and 19th at the Major Seminary of Cáceres (Spain). The objective is to share the spirituality of the Most Precious Blood, so that lay people may know they are saved not with gold or silver, "but with the precious blood of Christ" (1 Peter 1:19), and to form a "family" that deepens its life in this spirituality.

Twenty-seven people participated, including lay people, Missionaries of the Precious Blood, and Adorers of the Blood of Christ Sisters, from various communities in Spain and Portugal.

Three themes were developed: the first focused on the witness of conversion of life and unity in charity; the second addressed the challenges of mission in current times and the desire to have "a thousand languages" to proclaim the Gospel; the third focused on community life, mission and spirituality based on St. Gaspar del Bufalo and St. Mary of Matthias.

It was also an opportunity to develop an experience of community life, a pillar of the way of life of the Missionaries and Adorers, which enriches those who share this way of life, in prayer, in the Eucharist, at the meal table and in moments of fellowship.
