Celebrating St. Matthew

The parish community of St. Matthew of Cáceres (Spain) celebrated last Sunday the Feast in honor of its patron saint, St. Matthew.

At the heart of the celebration was the Eucharist in the beautiful parish church, located in the old part of this UNESCO World Heritage city. Committed lay people participated, embodying and bringing life to the different parish groups. After the celebration around the Eucharistic table, the gathering continued around the meal table. It was a moment of fraternal and joyful sharing in a festive atmosphere.

The Missionaries of the Precious Blood have been on mission in Cáceres for over a century. In addition to the various services they provide, they are active in the parish of St. Matthew, in the parish church in the historic center and in the Parish Center of St. Martin de Porres. Currently, the CPPS community consists of 2 priests.
