Pilgrims of Hope Walking Retreat

The second walking retreat took place on May 24th in Proença-a-Nova with the theme Pilgrims of Hope.

In December 2024, Pope Francis invited the People of God to be "Pilgrims of Hope." This is also the motto of this Jubilee Year of 2025.

We set off from the Aldeia Ruiva River Beach and, with Pope Francis, we walked for three hours, reflecting and praying about Hope, its meaning, what I hope for... about the root of my hope, the enemies of hope...

Open to the community and to those who freely wished to participate, the group of nine people, a third of whom lived outside the Parish of Proença, had an extraordinary experience of sharing life and faith.
