CPPS General Council 2026-2031 elected in Rome

An Assembly of Discernment and Hope

Between 1 and 19 September 2025, the XXII General Assembly of the CPPS Missionaries (Congregation of the Mission of the Most Precious Blood), under the motto “Blood of Christ, hope for the world”.

The objective of this meeting was elect the new General Council for the 2026-2031 term, discern a common vision and define the priorities that will guide the mission over the next six years.

Representation of the Iberian Province

THE Iberia Province was represented by Provincial Father Luis Manuel and by Delegate Father António Panea, who actively participated in the work of reflection, prayer and decision.

The General Council elected for the 2026-2031 term is composed of:

• Father Emanuele Lupi (Italy)
• Father Ben Berinti (USA)
• Father Antonio Baus (Chile)
• Fr. Chesco Msaga (Tanzania)
• Father Luigi de Fazio (Italy)

Renewed mission for 2026-2031

The new Council assumes responsibility for to encourage and coordinate the mission of the Congregation at the international level, promoting communion between the different provinces, delegations and communities.

With the central theme “Blood of Christ, hope for the world”, the Assembly emphasized the importance of living the spirituality of the Most Precious Blood as source of reconciliation, hope and transformation in challenging contexts around the world.
