What does it mean to be a priest today?

Being a priest is a great gift, both for me as one and for others. I often think that I am the bearer of an immense treasure, which is Jesus, and my life must be a witness to a living Christ, walking the paths of humanity to lead them to the fullness of life. A priest loves with the heart of Christ.

A detail of the spirituality of the Most Precious Blood that you appreciate.

I seek to read the "book of the cross" of Christ: Jesus gave himself entirely, down to the last drop of blood, so that humanity might be redeemed from sin, violence might end, enmities might cease, and arrogance might be replaced by simplicity of life. The Blood of Christ is real, but God wants to heal all wounds in his Son. All lives are valuable and worthy.

What mission does the Church challenge you to?

The mission involves focusing attention on the person, on their fullness and salvation in Christ. It's about helping each person learn to remain in Christ, recognizing them as the image of God and called to a hope that transcends human barriers. It challenges me to go against the current with boldness and courage in building a more divine world.
