Water in the desert

The Missionaries of the Precious Blood recently inaugurated their 23rd well in Natta Serengeti, Tanzania.

This project, called "Water in the Desert," aims to provide water in places where it is scarce. This time, the well was drilled in the area of a parish community, CPPS. After the parish was established in 2024, it was found that the people in the community had to travel long distances to access water. The journey was made on foot, and the water was transported in inadequate containers. This is a community made up of humble and poor people.

According to the World Health Organization, the consumption of unsafe water is a major source of disease. Aware of this, the Missionaries of the Precious Blood care for the health of the people by helping them develop with essential infrastructure.

In Italy, support for the project is gathered through donations to the Primavera Missionária Foundation, and through the book "Questa è sempre casa tua" by CPPS Missionary Terenzio Pastore. Another book, "Deserti da far fiorire," by the same author, will be released soon.

The Provincial Father of the CPPS Province of Tanzania blessed the well and thanked all those who showed solidarity with the local community.

It should be noted that this project has already completed a well at the CPPS mission in Guinea-Bissau.

Podemos e devemos ajudar quem precisa.
Água em África é um bem mais valioso que ouro.
    Parabéns aos Missionários🙏
