Night pilgrimage

The night provides Christians with the space and appropriate environment to listen, reflect, and pray. On November 29th, on the occasion of the beginning of the novena of Our Lady of the Conception in Vila Viçosa, teenagers and young people made a night pilgrimage. It began at the Church of St. Bartholomew, crossed the main avenue, and ended at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Conception.

During the pilgrimage, Mary was the one who guided the pilgrims. Based on the text of Mary's visit to her cousin Elizabeth, the emphasis was on: the woman who walks to meet, the one who listens attentively and dialogues, the one who makes decisions and acts with confidence in the Lord.

Upon arriving at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Conception, there was time for the recitation of the rosary and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

From this moment on, the guidelines can be removed in order to better experience the Advent season. (Fr. Luís Filipe)
