Priestly Anniversary of Father Paulino

He was born in Madroñera (Spain) in 1946.

He joined the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 1969.

Ordained a priest on July 5, 1970.

What does it mean to be a priest today?

– A fellow traveler who shares in the pains and sorrows, the hopes, joys and happiness of his brothers and sisters;

-Take care of the people around you and don't be indifferent to their suffering;

-Being available to support those who feel lonely;

-To seek out those who have gone astray because we marginalized them simply because they didn't share our way of seeing life.

A detail of the spirituality of the Most Precious Blood that you appreciate.

The bond of blood, which makes everyone, whatever they think and whatever they do, and each with their own personality and identity, members of the same family that is united by the "bond of charity," and not by origin, ideological, political or religious affinities.

What mission does the Church challenge you to?

At this stage of my life, the Province asks me to be available to "support" and "lend a hand" from time to time; and the Church asks me for a testimony of dedication, of welcome, of fraternity, to be a "good shepherd" to the people I meet along the way, because God needs witnesses and not "defenders.".
