What does it mean to be a priest today?
In a world marked by hunger and thirst for everything that human beings need for their fulfillment; in a context where individualism prevails and there is a growing abandonment of faith, I simply realize that being a priest today is about reminding people that they are not alone. That there is a God who loves them and a Eucharist that sustains them, even when everything seems to be falling apart.
A detail of the spirituality of the Most Precious Blood that you appreciate.
The detail of the spirituality of the most precious blood that I have so cherished since the genesis of my vocation is the blood of Christ, source of reconciliation, Because I feel challenged every day to accept and acknowledge my weaknesses before a God who loves me so much, I always feel the need to reconcile with my own history and rebuild my relationship with myself and with others. In truth, the invitation is to not be afraid to enter into the dynamic of personal transformation grounded in the redeeming love of Christ.
What mission does the Church challenge you to?
By carefully observing the "signs of the times," I can say that our society is marked by challenges, great changes, and a search for meaning. Therefore, the mission that challenges me is to welcome, guide, console, and strengthen people's faith. Through the celebration of the sacraments, prayer, and commitment to justice and solidarity, I seek to contribute to building a more fraternal community, bringing hope and promoting human dignity. Thus, I can affirm that my mission remains relevant and is always in vogue: to be a shepherd, servant, and instrument of divine mercy.
