The Blood of Christ asks us for solidarity (III)

In addition to being places of dialogue and places of hospitality, the Community and families of the Precious Blood, have to be:

1. Prophetic Testimonies

We only give great importance to the activities we carry out in the Parish or in our pastoral field, but, at times, we neglect the testimony of life.

La Espiritualidad de la Sangre de Cristo, invites us to be “sacraments of God for the world”, reflecting with our words and above all with our life, the presence of Christ and the values of the evangelio; because it would be of no use to us to do many things and have great ideas, if we are not accompanied by the testimony and coherence of our life, sharing, like the disciples of Emmaus, when we believe and provide us with happiness in life.

We live in a bloody and violent world and we have to raise our voice against so much injustice and be close to those who suffer the whims of the powerful to heal their inheritances, without consequences and only with listening, sheltering and dialogue.

The Spirituality of the Blood of Christ, calls us to be prophetic testimonies of the project of the new world of God in which the relationships of love prevail, in the face of selfishness, lovelessness and indifference. When we celebrate the Eucharist, while eating Pan and drinking Wine, we share successes and failures, reconciliation and strength and renew the Covenant with Jesus and with our brothers. To live the bond of charity, we need forgiveness and embrace something different than we think, nor act like others. The difficulties and tensions in our Community and in the Families of the Precious Blood, are overcome by living the Pascual de Jesus mystery: fighting our selfishness and individualism to be prophetic testimonies of new light in a broken world, divided and in tinieblas.

Commitments to be prophetic testimonies

1. Caring for coherence in life with what we decide, believe and celebrate.
2. The people who see me have to see Christ and the values of the evangelium in me, in my life and on the ground in my words.
3. It is important to share faith, with its clarity and doubts, and where the source of our happiness is found.
4. Report the abuses and whims of the powerful, who together with us, make others suffer.
5. Love has to be stronger than selfishness, stronger than indifference and stronger than heartlessness.
6. We must learn the difficult, but important art, of forgiveness, to those who think they act differently, because without forgiveness there is no Community, no Family
7. Every day we have to die a little from individualism to resurrect the Community and the Family. (Fr. Paulino Hernández, CPPS)
